The Best Furniture For Your Bedroom

When’s the last time you looked at your bedroom furniture?

We mean, really looked at it?

You love most of your pieces. They’re a mix of precious family heirlooms and newer purchases which reflect your personal style.

But your bed frame is old, squeaky, scuffed and dingy. You try to enhance it with beautiful sheets, duvet covers and pillows, but the frame detracts from everything. You spend as little time as possible in your bedroom and avert your gaze whenever you climb into bed.

Your bedroom is your sanctuary. It should be a haven of relaxation. But how can it be an oasis with that ugly bed frame staring you in the face?

Well, worry no more!

At West Coast Appliance and Furniture, the Element Platform Bed from Modus International Furniture exudes style, functionality and comfort. The dark chocolate brown finish complements every style and will look great in any bedroom — especially yours!

It’s time to move up and replace that old bed frame with something new and fabulous. Visit our store today and find the right bed frame for your style.

A New Mattress for Your Bedroom Sanctuary

We live in a totally connected world. We’re constantly online—posting on Facebook, checking email or texting—and our phones are never more than mere inches away. You’re so connected that sometimes you can sense when your phone rings or pings seconds before it happens.

Technology is great and all, but wouldn’t it be nice to disconnect for a while?

You want a place free from technology; no TV, phone, DVD player or Netflix. You need a personal sanctuary where you can light a candle and read or chapter or two before bed. Your bedroom fits the bill, but your mattress is from your college days. It’s old, dirty, flat and uncomfortable. While your bedroom is sanctuary-ready, your mattress certainly is not.

A new mattress will complete your wireless haven. The Serta iComfort mattress has completely redefined comfort and quality. Serta mattresses are cool to the touch so you sleep at a pleasant temperature throughout the night.

Additionally, you can adjust the base of your mattress to whatever you like. Prop it up while you read, and move it back down as you get ready for bed. You have total control over your sleep experience, resulting in more restful nights and happier days.

iComfort mattresses have taken everything you wish your mattress was, and made it a reality. You won’t have to spend another sleepless night tossing and turning on an old, lumpy and musty mattress. Upgrade today, and you’ll see the benefits night after night.

What Does Your Living Room Say?

Your living room should radiate warmth, and welcome family and friends like they’re getting a big bear hug. Unfortunately, a living room can look bland and tired after years of use and neglect; eliciting more sighing than cheering from your family.

Let’s be honest. Living rooms are often overlooked even though they’re the hub of the home. You gather there to watch movies, the kids have friends over after school and sometimes you eat dinner on the couch in front of the television.

Your living room is a busy place. You vacuum and dust faithfully to keep it clean. But what about the furniture in your living room? Vacuuming a lumpy sofa or old, tired recliner is fruitless. Why not start fresh with furniture that brings life and zest back to your living room?

Imagine sinking into a plush and cozy couch after a long day at the office. Pour a glass of wine, put your feet up and let a soft sofa envelop you. When homework time rolls around, the kids will feel relaxed while they work. Better grades because of a comfortable couch? Anything is possible.

Sectionals also offer versatility for your living room. A larger space

can easily accommodate multiple pieces of furniture. It’s the perfect fit if you entertain regularly, or want a lot of room to spread out when you watch television.

Living rooms are meant to be lived in. A place where memories are made. Wouldn’t you rather make those memories in a comfortable and beautiful setting?

You deserve the best, and so does your living room. Create a pleasant space for family and a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Why It's Time to Invest in a New Mattress

We keep special things because they make us happy. Family heirlooms and photos are tangible reminders of the past and fun memories.

But one thing doesn’t get better with time: your mattress.

Mattresses lose their bounce after years of nightly use. You’ve tossed and turned on sleepless nights. The kids jumped on the bed when the floor was made of lava. Your once springy mattress is now lifeless and lumpy. You decide to wait a month or two longer, truly believing you’ll buy a new mattress soon.

“Soon” turns into 6 months. And then a year. Before you know it your back aches, you aren’t sleeping well and you still have the same old mattress.

You get a solid lead after talking to friends and family. They all mention #Serta, specifically the iComfort series. After trying one at the store, it’s obvious why.

The iComfort mattresses have triple action gel memory which intelligently responds to your body’s unique needs. Serta’s EverFeel material cradles your body as millions of tiny titanium gel beads gather under the areas which need extra support. Your last massage didn’t feel this good. Finally, Serta’s gel formula has an airy design which dissipates heat so you sleep at a comfortable temperature.

You sampled a Serta at the store and it’s all you’ve thought about since. Your current mattress can’t compete. They are worlds apart. Galaxies apart, is more like it.

New Year’s Eve is long gone, but you’re in resolution mode. Determined and armed with information, you’re ready to toss out your old mattress and embrace change.

Serta has your back. Trade in lumps and bumps for comfort and support.

5 Common Sleep Problems and How to Solve Them

Sleep is a valuable commodity. You shouldn’t compromise those precious eight hours, but it happens night after night. You stay up late to work or sleep on a bad mattress, resulting in sleepless nights and groggy days.

According to #Serta and the National Sleep Foundation, there are five common sleep problems people suffer from.

The good news? A quality mattress fixes these problems.

1.      Tossing and turning

Turn left, turn right. Switch from your stomach to your back. Repeat. All night. Sound familiar? You lose sleep with every unnecessary toss and turn. Don’t waste another second of rest. A #Serta mattress has Comfort Right layers of foam and fiber which provide instant comfort. It reduces pressure points which cause discomfort, resulting in more restful and uninterrupted sleep.

2.      Lack of support

If you’re sinking into your mattress, or it’s stiff as a board, you need something better. #Serta mattresses are made of durable and flexible materials which promote proper alignment for your entire body. You’ll wake up refreshed without any aches or pains.

3.      Poor sleep temperature

Are you hot…then cold? Cycling through the “covers/no covers” debate doesn’t help, but a better mattress does. A balanced sleep temperature is key to sleeping well. Serta’s Cool Balance technology and a high-quality mattress design creates optimal airflow so you stay the right temperature all night.

4.      Partner problems

Your spouse (unintentionally) moves around a lot at night, disrupting your sleep. Fortunately, you can own a mattress which minimizes the impact from your partner. A well-crafted mattress isolates movement at the source so you sleep peacefully no matter how much your spouse moves.

5.      Sagging and roll-off

You want a durable and long-lasting mattress that doesn’t sag or have sinkholes. Don’t settle for second-best. Purchase a mattress which promotes comfort and rest.

You don’t have to endure these five common sleep problems. Invest in a quality mattress and you’ll sleep problem-free.
